Third and Final Working Conference

Partners

Groups attending working conference:

  • Gijon, Spain – 3 adults 6 students
  • Roma, Italy – 2 adults 5 students
  • Riga, Latvia – 5 adults 4 students
  • Ronneby, Sweden – 2 adults 7 students
  • Total = 12 adults, 22 students

We have identified 14 Sheffield students from a number of schools to be identified as ‘Buddies’. They will attend conference events throughout the week.

The following Sheffield adults will be in attendance – Catherine Elliott, Sue Finnigan, Rob Walker (SCC), Emma Norling, Charis Bronze (University of Sheffield), Colin Smith, Martyn Eggleton (UTC OLP), Liz Wallis, Katrina Heath(Sero), Ian Livingstone (Sumo Digital)

Learning  Activity features:

  • Interaction between ambassadors
  • Interaction between ambassadors and businesses
  • Interaction between Computer Science teachers
  • Interaction as whole cohort
  • Practical making sessions using technology where all are at the same level of understanding
  • Preparation tasks to be undertaken in each setting.
  • Communication before, during and after between students
  • Social media content creation and preparation
